The college seeks applications for a Senior Project Manager in the Planning, Design and Construction Division of the Facilities department. Reporting to the Executive Director of Planning, Design, and Construction, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing renovation and new construction projects, which enhance the physical campus and support the academic mission of the College. This position will provide management oversight for all phases of the construction project, including coordinating workers, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. S/he must provide a high level of individualized service to all stakeholders with minimal disruption to the academic activities of the College.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, track and review cost-effective plans and schedules for completion of projects following a logical pattern for utilization of resources
  • Oversee performance of Architects, Engineers and consultants working on various phases of the project
  • Participate in staff training, development, and performance management for Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers
  • Review architectural and engineering drawings to ensure that all specifications and regulations are being followed
  • Administer the bidding process and prepare and execute contracts with contractors and consultants
  • Inspect materials and workmanship used in projects to ensure compliance with contract documents and college design standards
  • Facilitate and obtain permits and approvals from various regulatory authorities
  • Perform other assigned administrative duties

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 10 years related experience in Project Management, Construction Supervision, or Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid Massachusetts Construction Supervisor's License
  • Project Management Professional Certification is desirable
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Professional and Microsoft Project
  • Must be knowledgeable in all phases of construction methods, systems, materials and building code requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
