The Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and the Richard A. Mayo Center for Asset Management invite applications for a post-doctoral scholar beginning at the start of the academic year, Fall of 2017.
Applicants should have a PhD in Finance or related field (or be near completion). Candidates must show potential for excellence in research on topics related broadly to Investments, Institutional Investors or Asset Management.
The research associate will work closely with the Center's academic director, primarily supporting research and data analysis pertaining to the Center's various on-going research projects.
The successful candidate will advance a number of research projects from conceptualization through publication. We expect that a significant portion of time will be devoted to collaborating with faculty.
The successful candidate will formulate research methods and suggest options for improving quality, identify potential problems, recommend and implement solutions, and collaborate in the development of new techniques.
