The Coordinator for Student Programs is responsible for the development and assessment of all social and educational programming that occurs in the residential facilities, with an emphasis on enhancing a sense of community as a Highlander and residential student.

Minimum Requirements: Skills in active listening, critical thinking, negotiation, problem solving, reasoning, organizing, written and verbal communication; multitasking and intercultural competence.
Thorough knowledge of Student Affairs/Student Life specialization.
Knowledge of advising and counseling techniques and knowledge of University and departmental principles and procedures involved in risk assessment and evaluating risks as to likelihood and consequences.
Skills in project management.
Basic knowledge of advising and counseling techniques.
Skills in service orientation and active listening.

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of University processes and procedures.
