Duties: The Senior Research Investigator with the Penn Child Research Center will provide intellectual, managerial and research leadership to oversee the direction and scientific scholarship of the Center's research program. The successful candidate will lead a team of post-doctoral researchers, pre-doctoral students and masters students in the design, funding, implementation, and dissemination of national and local research projects (including developing relationships with and presenting proposals to potential funders, establish and maintain productive working relationships with external research partners, designing and overseeing research projects and information dissemination). The position requires experience in interdisciplinary and interprofessional collaboration with researchers, policymakers and practitioners.

Position contingent upon funding.

Qualifications: PhD in quantitative methods or related field and at least 5 years postdoctoral experience in applied PreK-12 educational research or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Must also have experience conducting research in partnership with schools and other public service providers and experience working with large scale integrated data systems. Expertise with statistical software and programming (e.g., MPlus, SAS), psychometrics (e.g., item response theory, multi-level factor analysis), advanced quantitative methodologies (e.g., quasi-experimental design), measurement, and multivariate statistics and content knowledge in early childhood assessment and policy is required. Excellent analytic, writing and communication skills are necessary.
