DIRECTOR, M&T INTEGRATION LAB
Duties: The Integration Lab will provide multi-track experiential learning and deliver the capstone event for M&T students. The goal of the seminar is to provide students with the opportunity to attack significant problems at the intersection of business and technology and hone the skills required to be leaders in the technology-driven economies of the future. The director will manage all details related to the lab: (1) Problem identification: Engage alumni, faculty, (member) firms and students to identify 'big problems.' (2) Problem solution: 3 tracks that tackle these issues: (a) Synthesis/Makers track: Prototyping, designing, building and making products to solve the issues identified. (b) Analysis/Research track: working with faculty to conduct research on these issues and (c) Application Track: working with firms on projects related to the problem. (3) Solution presentation: One-day annual conference where students, faculty and firms present their work to: M&T Students, SEAS + Wharton faculty, M&T Alumni locally and in several hubs and Keynote speaker to be invited to address problems to be tackled the following year.
Qualifications: A Master's Degree is required. A doctoral degree in the applied science or engineering is preferred.
The candidate should have at least 5 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, working with researchers and firms, preferably in technology or science driven projects. Working experience advising students, leading conferences and recruiting speakers is preferred.
