Position Summary:

The College of Nursing has an opening for a full-time Faculty Affairs Program Manager. Reporting to the Human Resources Director, this position will manage faculty affairs functions and processes within the College of Nursing. This individual will manage the implementation of strategic and operational priorities, to include: Faculty Appointment, Promotion, and Tenure processes; administrative processes related to faculty performance reviews within the established guidelines of the College and the University; Faculty Recruitment including PRAs within the academic and research mission areas of the college; Faculty on-boarding, including coordination of training with faculty supervisors. This position will also support faculty development presentations and events; maintain and update the College of Nursing Faculty Handbook; manage, evaluate and update processes related to faculty support needs. This position will maintain faculty-related databases, including auditing for expiring licenses and communicating out to affected faculty members. This individual will work with standing committees within the College of Nursing, such as providing high-level administrative support to the Faculty Executive Committee and Chair as well as facilitation of standing committee elections. This position will be responsible for the graduate appointment process within the College of Nursing, and will also support faculty support procurement and expense reconciliation.

This position will supervise the Faculty Support Administrative Assistant, working with them to manage the centralized ticketing system related to faculty support requests, ensuring a timely response to all requests. These requests may include expense report processing, travel booking and reconciliation, procurement ordering requests, scheduling meetings and reserving rooms for faculty, managing and updating the faculty directory as well as other administrative functions requested by the faculty within the College of Nursing.

Salary and Benefits:



Salary is negotiable and commensurate with skills and experience.

This position is eligible for overtime compensation

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.

Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
  • The position requires extensive, diverse and progressively responsible experience at the management level, including direct responsibility faculty affairs, faculty recruitment, or faculty promotion and tenure.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • A master's degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience working in higher education and/or on an academic medical campus.
