The University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, Miami Project to Cure Paralysis has an exciting opportunity for a Research Associate 1. This position is responsible for undertaking experiments on small animals and performing histological and behavioral tasks for the advancement of research projects in collaboration with other laboratory staff as well as the organization of laboratory data and resources, both paper and electronic.

The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of scientific study. Prefer one year of relevant of research laboratory experience. Strong computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint. Experience using Adobe Acrobat and file structures on network drives is preferred. Must be flexible and adaptable to changing project priorities and work assignments as well as after hours and weekend work as required by the project. Demonstrated creative thinking as it relates to identifying and recommending solutions to problems. Knowledge of routine office practices and procedures. Ability to learn and master new techniques. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to work successfully with considerable independence.

Patient safety is a top priority.
