The University of Mary Hardin Baylor’s McLane College of Business seeks an Assistant / Associate Professor for its Management and Marketing programs, beginning Fall 2017. UMHB seeks faculty who are active Christians and dedicated teacher-scholars to prepare students for leadership, service, and faith-informed discernment in a global society.

The McLane College of Business offers several undergraduate Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree programs, including degrees in Management, Marketing and International Business. The McLane College of Business has experienced record enrollment and the Management and Marketing programs are two of the largest programs in the College.  Collectively, they have over 200 undergraduate majors and also support the Masters in Business Administration (MBA) program offered by the university. 

UMHB, the oldest institution affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas, was chartered by the Republic of Texas in 1845.  UMHB is conveniently located in Belton, an historic town of 19,000 in the heart of central Texas.  Excellent schools, abundant cultural and recreational opportunities, and a high quality of life are hallmarks of the local community.

Faculty Responsibilities: Activities required of all faculty include exemplary teaching, service to the college and the university, and professional engagement that will keep the faculty current in their discipline.

Specific Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Management, Marketing and related areas. The normal teaching load is 12 to 14 undergraduate hours per semester, or the graduate equivalent, with three course preparations.

Qualifications: A doctorate degree from an accredited institution in Management or Marketing is required; ABD will be considered (tenure-track status requires terminal degree in hand).  Candidates who are academically qualified to teach marketing will be preferred.  Professional certifications and professional business experience will be favorably considered. Excellent teaching and communication skills, a dedication to professional attainment, and commitment to quality improvement are essential. Must be an active and committed Christian.
