The Airoom Companies, the nation's largest design, build and remodeling firm, is seeking a very qualified senior level executive to oversee the complete operations and growth for its established 60 year old Chicago based business as well as its early growth stage entity.
A successful candidate must possess experience as a professional C- level manager with entrepreneurial drive and proven hands on background in taking an established old name business into the next decade of growth and innovations. The candidate will also have experience in early stage growth offshoot companies and their respective challenges for nimble strategies, pivoting, growth, staffing and capital requirements. The Candidate must have experience and a proven track record of managing a 100 to 200 plus person organization, hundreds of suppliers and subcontractors, with at least 70mm+ in annual sales volume. Past employment record will include the successful scaling a business 2x from initial employment date with a successful recapitalization or exit.
Candidate must have prior experience working for a company that employs a direct sales force, operates using a lead generation program and internally produces and delivers what the sales department sells; i.e. the full design and build cycle or equivalent. The current business model is not a reoccurring revenue model using account reps but instead uses internal sales people running daily fresh appointments set by the marketing department. We are only as good as tomorrow's sale, using effective lead generation, sales staffing and training programs. Current scalability comes through increasing leads and adding effective sales people while maintaining, refining and growing the current in house support and production staff. The company intends to grow to 100mm in revenues within 3 years-time surpassing its pre-recession sales volume through organic growth as well as potential acquisitions in other markets using our proprietary systems.
Previous experience with sophisticated sales processes that require preparation, follow through and multiple client touch points is a must as well as more complicated internal production procurement and development processes. Our proven sales process relates to other complex, multi-disciplined service offerings which use a design / build or install methodology and a 2-3 call sales process focused on value and implementation for contracts ranging from $10K to $2mm through 2 different entities with different offerings.
This hands-on position requires not only high level innovative thinking but the ability to get down in the weeds to dissect, analyze, create change in management and insist on profitable growth. Qualified candidates will own an excellent understanding and past implementations of technology integration and enterprise systems along with being extremely sales and marketing focused. Additionally, candidates need to be experienced in systematic thinking and implementations for production line style departmentalization and the hurdles and challenges that are associated with interdepartmental integration. Candidate will also have excellent hands on understanding of several hundred concurrent projects and the project management skills required to manage and oversee the delivery system of a service business that deals directly with consumers (B to C).
Prior experiences must include internet marketing, sales and delivery of products and services and driving revenue and growth through internet based marketing and sales. The business will require a careful balance of bricks and mortar growth as well as internet growth to expand regionally with potential licensing and or franchising opportunities. Candidates having a background with growth through licensing, franchising and acquisitions as are of interest. Managing successful capital requirements, capital raises, recapitalizations, mergers and acquisitions will be important to the term growth of all entities.
Candidates must have prior full P & L responsibilities including consolidated entities, experience and analytical skills with CRMs, Excel data and manipulation, KPI dashboards, lead distribution and MS software. This position reports directly to the current CEO and chairman. Any experience with in-home services as well as consumer financing vehicles is a plus.
