Job Description

Leighton Consulting, an award winning engineering firm, is seeking a project level, Registered Environmental Professional with extensive hands-on knowledge of the local environmental markets and regulatory requirements in the Los Angeles/Ventura/Kern county areas. Successful candidate will have managed projects of $500,000 in billings and have an established client base. You can manage large and small projects and want to be part of our growing environmental business.

You should have extensive experience conducting or overseeing the completion of Phase I/II ESAs, Remedial Action/Corrective Action Plans, Preliminary Endangerment Assessments (PES's) and other School related work. You must have a strong working knowledge of SD-DEH, DTSC and CARWQCB regulatory requirements. Experience with air monitoring - permitting and remediation experience with SVE, MPE, In-Situ bio, and ISCO is preferred.

We would also like you to develop new business and maintain an active client base, negotiating with regulatory agencies and obtaining site closures, prepare and present estimates, proposals and schedules on environmental projects and actively participate in Marketing/Business Development presentations.

You must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering or Geology (Master Degree Preferred), a California PE, PG or CGH license.

Strong organization and written/verbal communication skills including work plan, report preparation, and presentations to clients and regulators. Successful candidate should be self-motivated and friendly with a can-do attitude with 10+ years local experience.
