We invite candidates to apply for our HSCA Simulation Program Coordinator position The Simulation Program Coordinator will serve as the lead educator for health science simulation, will manage the Health Science Simulation suite which includes activities for the HSCA students and the LSSC nursing programs. In addition, will plan, develop, implement, and evaluate simulation educational activities that promote professional development and continuing education for LSSC’s HSCA. The Coordinator will train and support faculty and staff on simulation exercises and debriefing activities.

The Coordinator will coordinate activities between the HSCA and the South Lake Hospital that promote career education and professional development. Also, will work with the HSCA Director on experiential activities of the HSCA students. The Simulation Program Coordinator facilities student success; serves as a referral agent to resources for students in academic distress; assists in data collection and continuous improvement efforts; assists with the delivery of HSCA programs including student recruitment, orientation, academic early-alert, and retention initiatives, assists in the creation and maintenance of departmental and institutional publications, and websites. Some night time activities are required. High School hours are typically 7 am until 2 pm and LSSC hours are typically 8 am until 4:30 pm. This is a ten month, 197 days contracted position. Responsible for demonstrating LSSC’s core value of Service Excellence; respect, competence, responsiveness, and collaboration, in all interactions.

REQUIREMENTS Required:  Associate’s Degree in a health science profession. Two years professional experience in health setting including education or simulation. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a health science profession (BSN, Simulation, etc.) Licensure as a health professional such an RN, MD, DO. Certified Instructor of Basic Life Support and First Aid. Experience in health care simulation including use of high fidelity mannequins. Demonstrated experience teaching or working with dual enrollment or high school students.
