General Summary: The Department of Psychology and the Civilian Leadership Minor Program are seeking a graduate assistant to work with the Leadership coordinator for the leadership minor program during the 2017-2018 academic year. The graduate assistant will be required to work on the Dahlonega campus of the University of North Georgia for 20 hours per week, Monday -Friday. Additionally, graduate assistants are required to enroll in a minimum of 6 hours of coursework (with a maximum of 9 hours) during the semester of employment. We are looking for a personable, self-motivated, and well organized individual.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The Graduate Assistant will:
  • Assist with advisement for leadership minors.
  • Assist with Research in the Leadership Minor (Including examining other universities Leadership minors, tracking current leadership minor students, and researching internship sites, duties, and activities).
  • Assist with Leadership Lumpkin programming as needed.
  • Assist with leadership courses as needed (e.g., preparation, activities, grading, etc.)
  • Assist with webpage and catalog management and related paperwork.
  • Administrative tasks associated with the management, promotion, and expansion of the leadership program.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Department or Associate Department Head and the Leadership Coordinator.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records


Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Admission to Graduate School and acceptance into an academic degree program required
  • Help desk/customer service experience
  • Scanning images & documents experience
