Degree and Area of Specialization: A bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Mass Communications, Internal Communications or a related field is preferred.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience: Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of professional communications experience to include development of communication plans, communication pieces, feature articles, presentations, and a website.

Position Summary: The Communications Specialist serves as an integral part of the UW-Madison Office of Human Resources (OHR). This position will help design and execute a multifaceted communications strategy designed to engage and inform multi-lingual, multi-shift campus stakeholders (e.g., employees, shared governance, leadership) throughout the two-year Title and Total Compensation (TTC) study.
This position will work closely with communication colleagues across the UW-Madison Campus (Office of Human Resources, University Communications, and College/Division/and School Communications staff) and interact heavily with the entire UW-Madison campus community (leadership, shared governance, human resources, management, and employees).
This position will also work with communication colleagues and TTC study members at UW-System and TTC study vendor (Mercer).
