COMPLIANCE ASSOCIATE II
Job Summary This is the second in a series of highly responsible professional positions within the Human Subjects Office (HSO) involved in reviewing human research (Institutional Review Board or IRB) applications to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and institutional regulations and policies for the protection of human research subjects. Work is performed under the general guidance and supervision of the HSO Director, but with full authorization to make broad, independent decisions concerning review of IRB applications. The person in this position will be a member of the IRB and will exercise the full authority of an IRB member to approve human research projects reviewed Expedited procedure, when appropriate. Caseload exceeds the degree of difficulty of an IRB Coordinator I but does not exceed the projected degree of difficulty of an IRB Specialist. Minimum Qualifications Completion of a Bachelor's degree and previous administrative experience required. Experience with research compliance, preferably in an educational institution, required. Eligibility for entry level professional certification in applicable area of expertise is highly desirable.
