Job Summary Serves as assistant to the department head (DH) including approvals in the absence of the DH. Handle all the departmental correspondence to upper administration, food industry and alumni. Manage the main office, handle course loading and scheduling, curriculum/CAPA, course evaluations and personnel record keeping. Providing support for faculty correspondence, event scheduling and communication with internal and external stakeholders. Provide administrative assistance with faculty appointments, graduate faculty appointments and re-appointments, promotion/tenure, 3rd year reviews, post-tenure reviews and scheduling of faculty interviews. The position will also manage the departmental newsletter, web site and marketing to stake-holders. Approve P-card transactions made by the Business Manager II. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business or related field and four years management experience; OR eight (8) years related management experience; OR equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.
