Unit Job Summary: Project Assistant I/Receptionist: Respond to calls to the main financial aid office phone number and answering emails for students in all divisions. Manage the student traffic at the office reception desk. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provide detailed information to inquiries about all financial aid programs. - Explain loan application process and procedures. - Request appropriate documents required for loan processing. - Evaluate loan application material for accuracy and proper completion. - Contact students for additional information necessary to complete the loan process. - Data entry and maintenance of financial aid application material in financial aid software system. - Prepare loan application files for evaluation by other financial aid staff. - Prior to graduation prepare records for student loan counseling and repayment information sessions. - Provide assistance for projects as needed and/or requested by the director.

Unit Education: High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Unit Experience: At least two years of general office experience required. Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word required. Experience in a financial aid office preferred.

Unit Job Function Competencies: Excellent communication skills?both written and oral?with students, staff, and numerous university offices outside of Booth required. Knowledge of and proficiency with high volume office process and procedures required.
