Job Summary

Inspire Awesome with Eastern Washington University. We are currently seeking an Assistant Director of Student Financial Services [Cash Management]

This key position will manage back office operation in the Student Financial Services department including University campus-wide cash management, collections and third-party billing. This position will ensure compliance of University cash management activities with federal, state, payment card industry, local and university regulations, policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business or closely related field.
At least 3 years' experience supervising professional support staff
Experience in cash management operations to include daily cash administration, management of current accounts and bank relations.
Experience in collections of accounts receivable
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Experience with enterprise administrative systems preferred.
Outstanding organizational and problem resolution skills.
Experience in regulatory compliance (Federal, state, PCI, treasury, banking)
Ability to work with complex customer service issues with a positive outcome.
Strong interpersonal skills with faculty, staff and student populations.
Ability to work without close supervision and to set one's own priorities.
Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency and/or diversity.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, or Bachelor's degree with 36 hours of accounting.
Experience with implementing and maintaining e-commerce solutions
Specific experience with Banner enterprise software in accounts receivable, finance and student systems.
Experience using database reporting tools such as Discoverer, Argos or Cognos.
Experience with PCI compliance rules and regulations
Experience in Banking or cash management.
