Job Description

Overview:

The Manager of Communities Management is accountable for the development and execution of the strategy for all product communities. The product communities, as key components of our self-service offerings, are designed to engage our clients to share questions and ideas with internal resources as well as their peers. The effectiveness of this group will be evaluated based on Portal metrics to track and monitor client engagement based on # of discussion, # of client responses, etc.

Responsibilities:
  • Build a strategic vision around the tools, objectives and outcomes for our Community Management Program, aligned with our Knowledge Management Strategy.
  • Organize & lead cross-functional Community Adoption teams to facilitate collaboration.
  • Define and document the engagement and escalation workflow for the community forum.
  • Launch community discussion forums and manage the moderation of the community threads.
  • Promote client discussions around product feature, functionality, configuration and best practices to promote product usage and customer engagement
  • Drive initiative to ensure compliance with Portal standards and appropriateness to the community
  • Lead the company-wide cross-functional Community Management Council to facilitate collaboration & engagement.
  • Develop, monitor & report on KPI's to drive ROI for community-related initiatives.
  • Create an MVP program to recognize and reward internal and external community contributions.
  • Lead efforts to engage employees, customers, and partners through evangelization as volunteers in the community.
  • Hire, train and develop moderators / specialists for the Community Management Program.
  • Collaborate with Client Impact on development of User Forums
  • Enable direct customer feedback
  • Explore, propose and implement social media strategies in partnership with Marketing (ie Facebook, Twitter)

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Project Management or related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Strong technical writing/editing skills
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM & Communities functionality (Communities design, Chatter Groups, Ideas, etc.)
  • 2+ years managing, moderating & monitoring online communities, discussion forums and/or Social Media as either a Community Manager or similar capacity.
  • Experience with community interaction technologies (discussion forums, reputation models, product enhancement requests and voting, social media accounts, etc.)

Preferred Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Well-developed problem solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to think creatively in a fast paced environment
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Salesforce experience
