The Housing-Administration Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Administrative Specialist IV to join our team to provide administrative support for the specific area of Residence Life. This position works under the Associate Director of Residence Life and acts as a liaison between the associate director, key staff, and employees. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:*Manages the daily general office and serves as the frontline for customer service*Assists the Associate Director by managing outlook calendars, planning and scheduling meetings, arranges travel and prepares travel documents/vouchers, assists in collection of paperwork involving timekeeping, and may act as a purchasing card reconciler for compliance*Responds to office inquiries*Arranges departmental and team functions*Coordinates projects and special assignments*Manages office supplies and office equipment*Completes office inventories for office supplies and office equipment*Enters work orders into system as needed The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices. The successful candidate will possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent and four years of progressively responsible office administration experience. Substitution of education for experience allowed. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:* Intermediate MS Office skills.* Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others.* Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats.* Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple assignments effectively.* Ability to work on tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness.* Knowledge of basic accounting/budgeting procedures.* Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships.* Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles.* Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.
