Inventory Stockroom Personnel
GVI, Inc., a DoD contractor industry leader, is seeking inventory, warehouse and shipping and receiving personnel. Applicants will perform a range of warehouse functions such as receiving, picking, packing and shipping. Applicants with current security clearances and knowledge of the US / DoD N-ERP inventory management systems preferred.
Applicants will performs clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping goods and receiving incoming shipments. Receiving duties typically involve the following: verifying the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records, checking for damaged goods, insuring that goods are appropriately identified for routing to departments within the establishment, and preparing and keeping records of goods received.
Applicants will also perform a variety of warehousing duties. Applicants will be responsible for verifying materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
Duties will include transporting or storing materials, manually loading or unloading freight cars, trucks, or other transporting devices; unpacking, shelving, or placing items in proper storage locations or transporting material.
All applicants must possess a valid driver's license and be capable of lifting 50 lbs.
Positions located in Dahlgren, VA.
Hourly pay rate is $13.83 plus up to an additional $4.27/hour depending upon benefits selected.
