Ross University is actively seeking candidates interested in a career in higher education as a Senior Program Coordinator. This Senior Program Coordinator positon is based in Chicago, IL working at Mt. Sinai Hospital. Our Senior Program Coordinator work directly with Mt. Sinai Hospital and RUSM students to ensure students are credentialed and ready to start clinical clerkships. The Program Coordinator will work closely with Mt. Sinai Hospital administration on orientation, student documentation and evaluations.

  • Processes student documents for core and elective rotations at Mt. Sinai Hospital
  • Review student health records including health assessment and immunization records to meet Mt. Sinai Hospital requirements. Actively follow-up on outstanding documents needed to begin clerkships at Mt. Sinai Hospital. Work with Mt. Sinai Hospital to ensure all RUSM students are credentialed and can begin clinical clerkships Submit all requisite paperwork to Mt. Sinai Hospital and participating hospitals Provide valuable customer service to clinical students at Mt. Sinai Hospital via in-person meetings or via phone/email Use the SCT Banner system, Salesforce, and performs general data entry procedures on all Ross systems Assesses the accuracy and completeness of Clinical Clerkship Evaluation Forms received from Mt. Sinai Hospital Prepare and assist with student orientation Prepare and send out all necessary correspondence with RUSM students Give timely feedback on emerging student needs and support the development of innovative solutions to meet them, working closely with the clinical advisement team in solving unique and complex problems with broad impact to student satisfaction Collaborate with other key stakeholders such as the Associate Director of Clinical Clerkships, Associate Registrar, and Assistant Director of Hospital Relations Work closely with Mt. Sinai Hospital Administration Complete other projects and duties as assigned

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
    A Bachelor's degree is required preferably in education, social science, or a health care related field 2 years prior experience in education or a field related to counseling or customer service Solid computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Internet applications, database software, and SCT Banner highly desirable Familiarity with NBME, ECFMG/USMLE guidelines and other pertinent policies and procedures necessary for licensure of international medical graduates (IMGs) desirable Excellent communication and presentation skills Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent negotiation, decision making, and time management competence A team player, respectful of others and capable of working well with a wide variety of personalities Needs to be available to travel to Florida 4x per year. Occasional weekends or evenings may be required

This position is based on a current affiliation agreement in place between RUSM and Mt. Sinai Hospital. Continued employment is contingent upon RUSM and Mt. Sinai Hospital continued affiliation.
