Duties and Responsibilities - Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in the following areas of Information Systems Management: Operating Systems (linux, windows, unix), network technologies, database design and development using both relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, NoSQL), Web Development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and system development lifecycles and analysis. Applicants with the ability to teach multiple areas from the list above will receive preference. Additional qualifications and/or specializations in the following areas are beneficial: Development experience in Java, Python, C/C++; Big Data and Data Analytics; Machine Learning and Data Mining; Information Assurance and Cyber Security; and Application Security Testing.- Other required duties include mentoring undergraduate students in the areas of Information Systems-related research; engaging in curriculum development, internship supervision, community outreach, committee work, and other activities important to the School of Business and the University.

Minimum Required Education It is strongly preferred that applicants possess a doctorate in Information Systems Management (or other related degree) from an accredited university; however, a master's degree in a related field combined with industry experience and/or licensure/certification may satisfy the professional qualifications for the position.*Well-qualified ABDs with a reasonable expectation of completion of the doctorate prior to August 2017 will be considered.

Required Licenses and/or Certifications Professional industry certification is preferred.

Type and Amount of Experience Needed Prior professional experience which demonstrates an understanding of the relationship between business and technology is strongly preferred.Creative and effective teaching experience at an accredited institution of higher education is strongly preferred. Evidence of a commitment to excellence in teaching and other scholarly endeavors is particularly valued. Candidates must demonstrate interest in pursuing research in the field of information systems management and have evidence of (or potential for) successful scholarly publication in refereed journals. Familiarity with online course development/delivery and distance education is strongly preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence and service to support the mission of the School of Business as well as that of the institution. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with colleagues and others in a collaborative, constructive manner. Demonstrated ability to build connections with students, alumni, and businesses.
