Job Description


The purpose of this position is to be involved in project based work as necessary while driving and maintaining an excellent level of run and maintain tasks and duties.

  • Receive support requests via email, phone and service desk solution.
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware issues.
  • Deploy new servers and/or environments; physical and virtual
  • Monitor system-generated alert messages and report possible problems.
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
  • Hands-on administration experience on Windows 2008/2008 r2/2012 r2 Server
  • Active Directory, FTP, DNS, and DHCP experience.
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain server hardware and software for assigned location(s).
  • Provide support to users in remote locations, as needed.
  • Contribute to and maintain system standards.
  • Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Participate in both project and service improvement initiatives as well as other duties as assigned.
  • 24/7 on call rotation required.

  • Associate's degree in Computer Science or similar field, or 3+ years' experience, or combination of both
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within this fieldKnowledge of systems monitoring processes and concepts
  • Enterprise Level Administration of Microsoft Networks, Servers, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to complete tasks and deliverables under tight deadlines while maintaining flexibility
  • Adjusts to changing priorities
  • Organization, time management and planning skills
  • Excellent problem solving abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and partnership skills
  • Must be able to work on an on-call basis understanding that he/she may be called in to assist with major outages
  • Ability to work independently and as a team playerNovice skills with VMware
  • Familiar with FTP Protocols and Processes
  • Familiar with Dell server hardware
  • PowerEdge Rack Mount Servers
  • PowerEdge High Density Blades
