Candidates should be Board eligible or certified and have completed an accredited fellowship in Cardiac Surgery. Rank will depend on candidate's interest and academic credentials. Candidates for associate or full professor rank must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment and promotion on the tenure track.

The Department of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (UW SMPH) is recruiting a Cardiac Surgeon to join the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery. We are seeking a dynamic, innovative individual who has the leadership and vision to build a state-of-the-art program at UW Health, specifically a robust research program. The successful applicant must have a demonstrated interest in research, education and training. There is an excellent research infrastructure in place at the University of Wisconsin and the Department of Surgery. This includes strong support for basic science research. Moreover, there are excellent opportunities to partner with a robust clinical outcomes group in the Department of Surgery.
