Forklift Operations Trainer
The Forklift Operations Trainer works closely with the logistics training team to instruct, train, coach and evaluate students. This position will be located in Edgerton, KS.
Instructor students in the operation of hydraulic, electrical, electronic and power train systems of powered industrial trucks. Includes Class I (Electric Motor Rider Trucks), Class II (Electric Motor Narrow Aisle Trucks), Class III (electric Motor Hand Trucks or Hand/Rider Trucks), Class Iv (Internal combustions Engine Trucks -Solid/Cushion Tires).
*Effectively deliver OSHA Compliant classroom instruction using Microsoft Power Point and other classroom audio/visual systems.
*Instruct students during hands-on-portions of the class to explain proper troubleshooting procedures and best practices.
*Assess student proficiency through classroom and hands-on exams.
*Interact and communicate effectively with different nationalities, ages and experience levels.
*Must be a self-starter and able to stay on task, meet deadlines and make informed decisions with minimal supervision.
Other duties and functions as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
- Strong public speaking and communication skills
- Industry related diploma or degree from an accredited technical college and/or extensive experience in an industrial truck technical field.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the theory of operation of gasoline, diesel and LPG engines, hydraulic systems, electrical and electronic systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in the aforementioned areas.

*5+ years of industry experienced required
*Classroom training or teaching experience preferred.
