JOB SUMMARY:


Serves as Data Governance Project Leader for the Development and Alumni Relations Team (DART), CU Foundation and IPTAY. Leads a project to establish and implement a data governance program for data ownership, unified policies, processes and procedures to authorize and enforce standardization, quality data management and performance of data assets. Performs other duties as assigned.


JOB DUTIES:


45% - Essential - Leadership:
Creates and serves as chair to the data governance council (steering committee). Leads in the establishment of data stewards, subject matter experts and data governance leaders. Works with key leadership from DART, CUF and IPTAY to develop strategies and tactical plans to implement those strategies and make operational. Ensures the establishment of data ownership and plan for resources necessary for accurate and consistent data definitions and business processes.

40% - Essential - Data Governance Documentation:
Creates service level agreements between DART, the CU Foundation and IPTAY. Creates unified policies and procedures and processes that authorize and enforce data standardization, data quality management and performance of data assets. Creates and maintains data mapping through each system. Creates finalized IT service catalog.

15% - Essential - Business Analysis:
Performs independently business process analysis. Documents, recommends and makes process and configuration changes to one or more operation functions, processes or systems. Performs strategic business analysis to support management, IT and end users.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related field and experience in systems development and maintenance, technical support or the support of complex database management systems. Related experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:


Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and 10+ years of experience in data governance or data architecture

Standard Hrs: 37.5; Band: 07
Market Range: $71,856 - $88,778
