LVTV / KWST PEG Access Assistant

Job Description Summary:
Supports the day to day operations of LVTV and KWST community television stations run by University of La Verne Communications Department.

Specific Duties:

Performs general clerical work including record keeping, preparing order forms, maintaining an inventory of equipment, ordering supplies and equipment, assisting with contest entries, answering phone calls and email and organizing using electronic and paper filing.
Under the supervision of the Station Manager schedule programming for daily playout, update and maintain websites and social media sites.
Updates daily program schedule on the KWST and LVTV websites and reader board weekly.
Updates and creates pages for the community bulletin board.
Maintains the DVD, tape library and digital archive.
Makes and labels DVD copies purchased by members of the community.
Uploads videos to Nexus, Vimeo and Youtube.
Operates camera, directs and edits community video productions when needed. (Ask the Mayor, City Council Meetings, Concerts and other community productions.)
Partners and assists with the communications department by scheduling students for video productions.
Checks and inspects equipment checked out by community producers.
Other Duties assigned to help the station function.

Minimum Qualifications:

The TV Assistant must have one year of experience in the following: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Have one year minimum of basic video production including; Pro Production Cameras, Editing software (Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro and Adobe Photoshop) and TV Studio experience.
The TV Assistant must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Have one year experience on social media sites (Twitter and Facebook.) Have one year of experience in the researching and the archiving of DVD’s and video files. Have a professional email and phone demeanor. Be organized and have a strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:
The TV Assistant must have limited experience working with, communicating and supporting students, professors, city dignitaries and community members.
