Job Summary:  Under the direction of the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management, is responsible for the planning, direction, and implementation of all functions and operations related to the Registrar’s Office.  This includes the administration, coordination, and planning of the undergraduate and graduate registration process; the administration and processing of grading; the scheduling of all graduate and undergraduate classes on campus, off campus, and online; classroom scheduling for the entire university; the collection and dissemination of information concerning the academic performance records of students at the university; planning and coordination of yearly commencement; the coordination and supervision of the work of the professional and support staff; and performs related administrative functions as required.

Duties:  Directs the entire graduate and undergraduate operations related to registration, class scheduling, grade reporting, graduation clearance, commencement and records management.  Works closely with the enrollment management team, academic departments and the assessment office in providing numerous reports.

Provides overall leadership for the Office of the Registrar including but not limited to establishing goals and objectives for the department in collaboration with University leadership.

Directs the establishment and maintenance of the academic records.

Oversees staff utilization of the PeopleSoft system for registration and records.

Directs the development of the Master Schedule for the implementation of the University curriculum.

Directs the development of the Final Examination schedule.

Oversees the certification of student enrollment, and academic and degree verification for a variety of agencies.

Directs and monitors the drop for non-payment process.

Coordinates the Registrar’s Office operations with Admissions, Academic Advisement, Financial Aid, Bursar, Administration, and other departments of the University.

Maintains the file of Permanent and Temporary courses of the university.

Develops the budget for all activities conducted by the Registrar’s Office.

Develops the University Academic Calendar.

Develops the undergraduate registration/advisement/payment schedule each semester.

In cooperation with the administration and faculty, develops and implements policies related to the functions of the college.

Ensures the integrity of confidentiality of academic records, maintain compliance with FERPA, the Solomon Act, and other college policies and state and federal regulations.

Designs, develops and/or implements information systems and procedures.

Serves an active professional role in state, local, regional and national committees and organizations pertinent to the interest of the University.

Serves as a member of numerous university committees as directed by the Vice President of Student Affairs.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education: Graduation from an accredited college with a Masters Degree .

Experience: Minimum of six to eight years of significant professional experience in the area of registration services and systems in an institution of higher education or administrator in education, higher education or other field that is directly related to the functions of this position. Six years’ experience should be at a the management or supervisory level.
