Cardiac Electrophysiologist-Academic Clinician
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic-clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and clinical care. ABIM certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology; BE/BC in Cardiac Electrophysiology is required.
The successful candidate will have training and documented skills in transseptal puncture, implantation of biventricular pacemakers/ICDs, pacemaker including ICD lead extraction. Applicants must also have training and ability to independently perform ablation of supraventricular tachycardia, atrial fibrillation as well as endocardial and epicardial ventricular tachycardia. Extensive knowledge of sophisticated EP mapping and recording systems, including intracardiac echo are required. Candidates should be outstanding educators and excel at teaching medical students, housestaff and cardiology fellows.
