The successful candidate will be an articulate, organized, dynamic and enthusiastic leader and team player. The position will report to the Senior Director of Admissions.

Principle Duties:

  • Generate and track daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports and statistics
  • Provide administrative support to the Senior Director of Admissions and the admissions counselors for daily projects and special events
  • Coordinate on campus and on line admission events, including programmatic information sessions, hiring events and new student webinars
  • Maintain calendars, schedule travel arrangements as needed, schedule meetings, set up Go to Meeting events
  • Maintain scheduling of email campaign outreach to prospective students in conjunction with the Marketing Team
  • Maintain an email bank of counselor generated email templates
  • Maintain registration records and registration communication for all incoming students
  • Act as the advisor for all students applying for Student-At-Large status
  • Identify policy and process improvement opportunities
  • Oversee administrative functions (ordering office supplies, ordering promotional items, managing purchase orders)
  • Manage the opening of all resources needed for incoming students such as the bookstore and new student orientation
  • Maintain program slicks ad other student facing programmatic materials
  • Follow up with prospective students by phone and email as needed
  • Conduct campus tours on an as needed basis
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree required
  • Two to three years of admission experience is preferred
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to clearly and persuasively articulate the mission of The Chicago School to prospective students
  • Ability to self-initiate and execute with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills (strong writing skills, public speaking, interpersonal and public relations skills) are a must
  • Other required skills include leadership, organizational, time management and planning capabilities
  • Computer skills including word processing, database management and power point
  • Must be able to represent The Chicago School in a professional manner, recruit and work within a diverse community and at a post-baccalaureate level
