Position Information
The UC Riverside Brain Game Center is seeking a full-time programming lead to aid in the development of brain training games and interactive cognitive assessments. This position will include all aspects of the implementation of research-related games from design to maintenance and support. Understanding of video game development, game design, development using C#, and C++, familiarity with Unity 3D, database and network programming are all desired skills. Further, the successful candidate will also be apt at the management of programming teams, software organization, and excellent communication skills to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary environment. A minimum of 2 years related work experience, and a BS in CS , or an alternative degree related to the requirements, is required.

Minimum Requirements
Knowledge of other IT related areas.
Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
Intermediate skills associated with the design, development, modification and deployment of software, including object-oriented programming concepts.
Demonstrated software repository skills.
Experience with common programming tools.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of secure software development.
Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to follow software specifications.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Unity3D

Experience with game design

3D Modeling

Sound Design

Graphics programming and visual effects

Knowledge of Psychology and Neuroscience

Experience with Brain Training Games

Personnel management
