Assistant Director, Regional Engagement and Special Projects

Dartmouth College invites applications and nominations for the role of Assistant Director, Regional Engagement and Special Projects in the Office of Communities. A member of the Alumni Relations team, our Assistant Director will provide leadership, strategy, and support for a wide range of activities that engage our alumni and cultivate volunteers, including regional alumni clubs, affiliated groups, and Women of Dartmouth communities. Working closely with the Communities team and others throughout the division, our Assistant Director will create, market, and execute a variety of programs, events, and training that fulfills the need of each diverse community and demonstrates the value of lifelong relationships with Dartmouth.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with at least three years of experience in program development, training development, or management. Keys to your success in this role will be excellent oral and written communication skills, project management skills, strong interpersonal skills, creative program planning abilities, and strong organizational and problem-solving skills. The ability to motivate and work effectively with groups and individuals and having a working knowledge of e-communication tools and strategies is essential. A professional, our Assistant Director will be comfortable working and communicating with alumni from all diverse backgrounds, as well as senior leadership and other colleagues within the division and across the institution. Our hire will have demonstrated comfortability presenting to a variety of groups, both large and small, and will have the ability to travel domestically when necessary. Your commitment to serving the needs of a diverse alumni network is critical. Volunteer management is a plus, as is experience working with young alumni.
