Intramural-Recreational Sports (IM-Rec Sports), a division of UVA Athletics, seeks applicants for a Facility Shift Supervisor position supporting daily operations and hands-on supervision of Intramural-Recreational Sports Facilities serving the University community through first-class recreational engagement that fosters wellness, impacts lives and generates life-long memories. This is a part-time, wage position. This person will often be the first point of contact for internal and external customers including students and members, academics, varsity athletics, and other University organizations. A main responsibility of this role is serving as a hands-on front line supervisor on duty.
Schedule will vary per facility to include early mornings, evenings, and weekends as assigned and driven by facility demands.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
*Support daily operations and hands-on supervision of a comprehensive recreation facility.
*Serve as a front line supervisor on duty supporting quality customer service, efficient operations, cleanliness, and well-maintained facility and furnishings.
*Monitor public and non-public spaces, FFE, inventory and supplies (e.g., first aid, safety equipment, lendable equipment) for compliance to cleanliness, maintenance, and safety needs executing corrections to assure service levels.
*Under direction, support scheduling and planning of events; preventative, routine and deferred maintenance; risk management and safety audits. Participate in debriefing and implement changes as requested.
*Perform daily inspections of facility, make corrections as appropriate, submit work orders, and report findings to Facility Manager.
*Complete light custodial and maintenance responsibilities as needed.
*Provide administrative support as needed including overseeing cash handling operations that are compliant with department, University and state guidelines and procedures (e.g., all financial transactions; daily cash register sales, receipts, and reports; overage/shortage data; and financial auditing).
*Respond to and/or route customer inquiries, needs, and complaints in a timely manner; inform supervisor of significant customer impacts.
