The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at The George Washington University (GW) invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured position at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor rank in the area of Electrical Power and Energy. The successful candidate may start as early as Fall 2017.
The ECE department is housed in the new 500000 sq. foot Science and Engineering Hall consisting of state-of-the-art laboratory and instructional facilities. GW is located in the nation's capital with close access to many federal funding agencies and government research laboratories. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must have an earned doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a relevant discipline by time of application. Applicants must demonstrate a solid publication record, and must have established or exhibit the potential to establish a strong, externally sponsored research program. A commitment to excellence in teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels is also required. Applicants must have expertise in one or more of the following areas: smart grids and microgrids, sustainable and distributed energy systems, energy storage, energy harvesting and integration of renewables with grid, power systems planning, analysis, and control, and advanced power electronics.
