Job Description

Web Production, Percussion CM1 Support -- dk3

Typical associated tasks include, but are not limited to:

(a) Support the migration of existing web content from FSA's Oracle Universal Content Management System (UCMS), and standalone legacy Intranet content/sites to Percussion CM1 Web Content Management System (WCMS).

(b) Extend/update FSA's Percussion CM1 (WCMS) to define content types and how content items may relate to each other, to control the display of content items as pages and page components, to aggregate and organize content, to integrate the WCMS with other FSA business functions and to customize the WCMS interface for content authors and editors.

(c) Support and Maintain FSA's Percussion CM1 WCMS, while supporting the decommissioning of the legacy Oracle UCMS.

(d) Work closely with FSA IT leadership and business areas to develop the strategic roadmap for implementing and supporting the Percussion CM1 WCM system as part of the larger FSA digital ecosystem.

(e) Solve marketing/business needs by working closely with the development team.

(f) Serve as the primary business contact for providing assistance and guidance with any issues that arise with the Percussion CM1 WCM system and legacy Oracle UCMS.

(g) Mentor other WCM specialists and analysts as the senior expert for WCM; this includes some assistance with documenting requirements, creating user guides, and training WCM Authors.

Qualifications:

Experience with Percussion CM1 WCM System and Oracle UCM system, including developing templates/macros, creating content types, managing users and communities, and configuring the server; fluency in a minimum of one content management system (CMS).

Expert level abilities administering Web Content Management (WCM) software.

Strong organizational and business/functional documentation skills.

Issue resolution and trouble shooting skills within a WCM environment.
Decision making and problem solving abilities specific to Web technologies.
Detail-orientated and strong analytical abilities.
Ability to mentor team members.
Ability to work and negotiate with all levels of individuals within the organization in a Web environment.
Demonstrated team facilitation and problem solving skills.
Ability to work in a team environment under tight deadlines with multiple, concurrent deliverables.
Basic level proficiency with Dreamweaver, Adobe and Visio.
Intermediate level proficiency with JavaScript, J Query and CSS.
Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
6+ years' experience administering Web-based content initiatives within a WCM environment. Experience with a large-scale Web site redesign is preferred.
Hands-on experience with Percussion CM1 and Oracle UCM Web Content Management software, and a good understanding of Web development principles/technologies required.

Experience:

A junior-level resource (Level 1), unless otherwise specified, shall have 1-3 years of defined experience

Platform:

Current platform environment is as follows:

Intranet Platform: Consists of three-tiered server structure (Dev, Test, Prod) all running IIS web server. Content publishers use MS FrontPage and SharePoint Designer to update content on Dev.

Current Internet Platform: Consists of three IBM WebSphere servers (Dev, Pre-Prod and Prod) and related Apache servers.

New Platform for both Intranet and Internet: Percussion CM1 running on a LAP server, supported by a separate MySQL DB server. Content is then published to an Apache web server via CMS publication feature.
