The Social Justice Educator develops and implements programs, trainings, and activities to engage the campus community in creating an environment that is welcoming and affirming of all identities. In addition, this position provides support and advocacy for targets of identity-based violence, acts of bias, and hate crimes. Responsibilities include designing and implementing campus-wide education, outreach, social justice programming and strategies; researching data regarding current strategies and programs rooted in intersectionality, inclusive excellence, bystander intervention, violence prevention, and social justice issues; and building and maintaining partnerships with key individuals and groups on campus and within the community that will enhance and strengthen the learning environment for marginalized identities.

Strong public speaking skills, knowledge of inclusion, inter-sectionality and advocacy in relation to marginalized identities in higher education.

Preferred Education/Experience

Master's Degree and one year of experience or a Bachelor's Degree and three years of experience in advocacy, cultural diversity, public speaking, program development, and/or crisis intervention.
