General Summary: The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Chinese Summer Camp Director. This position is responsible for teaching coordinated lessons in Chinese to summer camp participants in the Elementary Summer Language Academy.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The Chinese Summer Camp Director will:

  • Plan and implement lessons in the target language.
  • Coordinate all activities during the camp. Serve as responsible administrator on site while campers are in session.
  • Supervise students assigned to their homeroom class during instruction, recess and supplemental activities.
  • Conduct assessments appropriate to the academic level and content standards taught.
  • Keep accurate records of attendance and activity during camps, as well as drop offs, pick ups and early check outs. Ensure that all students are safe and educational needs are met at all times.
  • Supervise students on field trips and during meals.
  • Responsible for coordinating with UNG to ensure proper procurement of supplies, accounting for and care of supplies.
  • Supervise all faculty and staff on campus in contact with students at all times.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Native speaker in target language

Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Certified Teacher; College Graduate
  • Experience teaching in the target language
  • GA Certified by the PSC
