The Senior Regional Admissions Representative represents the University of South Carolina to prospective students, as well as their parents, and high school guidance counselors located within an assigned geographic region -- in this case, Texas. This position requires extensive travel.
The Representative plays a key role in helping the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to recruit, admit, and enroll prospective students. S/he will also assist in the recruitment and training of new and existing alumni volunteers.
The Representative must be physically based in the geographic area s/he manages; preferred location may include one of the following: Houston (most preferred), Austin, or San Antonio.
Masters degree in Student Personnel Services or related field, or bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience.
Traveling alone within assigned geographic region and to South Carolina for student recruitment and professional development/ training events is required.
Background experience in admissions, public relations, or another student personnel area desired. Preference will be given to those who currently live in the existing geographic market and have knowledge of the local secondary schools.
