Business Development / Capture Manager

A rewarding and challenging Business Development Executive position is being created for our client. We are seeking an individual with a passion for closing strategic partnerships that creates new opportunities for all of services offerings within the Department of Defense (DOD). The position combines the skill of closing deals (Sales) with the art of creative thinking and creating co-marketing programs with partners. Your main responsibilities will be demonstrating our services, dialoguing with key stakeholders within the departments, and negotiating high value partnership deals with industry groups and strategic partners. You will also play a key role in closing a variety of sales opportunities.

Position Duties:

Develop and call on DOD opportunities resulting in new:
o Sales opportunities
o Trade-of-Service programs
o Creating co-marketing programs with partners
o Create and manage relationships with partners

Target a defined list of sales and strategic partnership prospects within DOD

Ensure relationships with senior level decision-makers are continuously developed and relationships are strengthened and grown

Present services to new potential customers, strategic partners, and industry-leading organizations

Build continued awareness of the Business Development function across all departments

Perform other duties as assigned

Candidate Requirements:

Bachelor's degree with strong academic credentials

2+ years of sales experience

Excel at developing relationships over the phone

Must be an independent thinker, articulate, organized, and detail-oriented

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Must be able to integrate knowledge across disciplines to include cold calling, consultative selling, services demonstrations, closing contracts, and operation/process flow

Strong sense of initiative and personal leadership demonstrating the ability to function independently, but must also be able to contribute to team initiatives

Strong business acumen, ethics and high integrity
