Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Coordinator assists the Director and Associate Director of the Undergraduate Advising Center with developing and implementing policies, procedures, training, supervision, and other related staff or student needs. The Coordinator ensures proper score processing, and supervises and trains advisors for TSI compliance, registration requirements, and accurate course enrollment. The Coordinator maintains the TSI database by programming the Student Information System, analyzing reports, running hold programs, and auditing student compliance statuses. Additionally, the Coordinator is charged with ensuring institutional compliance with all THECB regulations and requirements regarding state TSI/college readiness laws, mandates, and rules. The Coordinator resolves errors and problems on the CBM002 report, supervises test score processing, and designs and assesses reports for advising and registration data. The Coordinator supports UAC front desk personnel with appointments, advisor/student scheduling, and student questions.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications The candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Candidates must have technology skills including spreadsheet, data systems, and record-keeping software. Candidates must have the ability to work independently as well as the ability to collaborate as part of a team. A collegial and professional disposition is required. The candidate must have at least three years of experience in an advising or retention-related field.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates who hold a Master’s degree. Supervisory experience, as well as experience managing policy compliance, is also preferred. Candidates with knowledge of the Banner system, TSI, and THECB reports will be given preference.
