DePaul University’s School of Nursing seeks to recruit a tenure track faculty member to oversee the extension site of Master’s Entry to Nursing Practice (MENP) program located on the grounds of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS). The position requires working with the Associate Director of the MENP program to ensure continuity in programmatic offerings with the Lincoln Park Campus Program Site. The successful applicant will provide RFUMS site leadership of the MENP program and oversee six full time faculty and an administrative staff member. Other expectations of the role include teaching four courses per academic year, and advising a roster of students as assigned. All members of the School of Nursing faculty are expected to participate in shared governance through committee work.
1. Work in conjunction with Associate Director for the MENP in providing administrative oversight of an extension site of the MENP program.
a. Monitor the quality of the educational process.
b. Identify opportunities for program enrichment and innovation.
c. Demonstrate a commitment to educational excellence.
2. Budget Preparation and Administration
a. Display efficient utilization of personnel, equipment and supplies.
3. Curriculum Development
a. Assure compliance with accreditation standards for curriculum content.
b. Identify opportunities for program enrichment.
d. Incorporate new developments in applied sciences and technology into the curriculum.
4. Acquisition of Educational Resources
a. Select, monitor, and evaluate academic and clinical affiliate sites in collaboration with the Clinical Placement Coordinator.
b. Assure access to school, organizational, and affiliate site libraries.
c. Purchase or assure access to instructional audiovisual equipment.
5. Progression and Retention of MENP students
a. Collaborate with APR for progression and retention of students
b. Assure fair and equitable treatment of all applicants.
c. Assure confidentiality of graduate files.
6. Faculty Development
a. In collaborate with Coordinator of Clinical Placement identify and mentor clinical faculty at clinical sites.

Doctoral (DNP or PhD) degree in Nursing
Minimum two years’ full-time clinical experience as a Registered Nurse
Demonstrated excellence in organizational skills and communication.
Scholarly publication record commensurate with appointment at the rank of assistant, associate or full professor.
Eligible for unencumbered licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Illinois.

Two years of leadership experience in higher education.
