Job Description

Job Summary

The Media Specialty Technician provides program execution support for the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Division, Knowledge Management and Process Improvement Office. This office utilizes webinars for outreach to stakeholders within and outside of the Federal government. The Webinar Production Facility (WPF) is a studio with hardware and software equipment specific to producing webinars in support of this effort. The Media Specialty Technician provides assistance in the setup, operation, and breakdown of audio, video, projection, computer and lighting equipment for the WPF in support of webinar production, including pre-production and post-production work as required.

Essential Functions
  • Assist in the production and management of webinars in the WPF and external venues as needed
  • Assist in video editing, and performing creative services in support of WPF functionality
  • Assist in the research of appropriate techniques and processes to advance positive and collaborative organizational change with the goal of improving value

Job Specifications

Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or 3 years of experience. Secret security clearance required.

Experience: Successful candidate must have demonstrated capability with television production including the use of TriCaster devices, demonstrated ability with television editing tools, specifically Adobe Premier Pro (CS-6). A working knowledge of HSIN Connect is preferred.

Security Requirements: Secret Clearance required.
