The George Washington University (GW) School of Nursing invites applications for a Clinical Education Instructor to teach within the BSN Program. Position will begin as early as July 1, 2017.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Teaches one or more of the following content areas:
o Pharmacology
o Transitions
o MedSurg
o Health Assessment
o Pathophysiology
o Peds
o Maternal Health
o Community Healthand/or other core or specialty courses within the BSN program;

Teaches and mentors students in the specialty area, advises students, maintains active involvement in professional organizations related to specialty area, actively seeks opportunities for and participates in GW School of Nursing and faculty governance, and maintains a clinical practice.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must have: (1) a doctorate in nursing, education, public health or related field by date of appointment (2) 5 years or more of clinical experience (3) eligibility for unencumbered nursing license in DC and VA (4) experience working with diverse and underserved populations; (5) and prior teaching experience at the college or university level.
