A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the Department of Developmental and Cell Biology, University of California Irvine, to study the human Hippo pathway in organ size control and cancer development. Our lab is interested in the Hippo signaling in tissue homeostasis and organ size control as well as its dysregulations in tumorigenesis. On one hand, we are investigating the cellular regulations and functions of the Hippo pathway; on the other hand, we are exploring the therapeutic potentials of targeting this key tumor suppressor pathway for cancer treatment (please see our publications: J Biol Chem 2011, Genes Dev 2012, Mol Cell Proteomics 2014, Nat Cell Biol 2015, Cell Cycle 2015, Dev Cell 2015, Mol Syst Biol 2015, Cell Rep 2015, Cell Rep 2016, Mol Cell Proteomics 2016, Mol Cell Proteomics 2017, Oncogene 2017).

We are seeking a highly motivated, independent, and creative candidate with research expertise in molecular biology and cancer biology. We prefer candidates who are about to graduate with PhD or MD/PhD degree, or have graduated within the last 12 months. A track record of excellent first author publication(s) is required.
