Degree and Area of Specialization: PhD required, with PhD-level experience studying hematopoiesis in primates (human or nonhuman primate) and expertise in hematopoietic differentiation of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and bone marrow transplantation is required.



Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience: At least 3 to 5 years of post-doctoral experience preferred. Experience studying human and/or nonhuman primate iPSC differentiation and hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) is preferred. Strong cell culture and bone marrow transplantation skills are preferred. Familiarity with project management and personnel management experience preferred. Excellent communication and computer skills required. Demonstrative track record of productivity as evidenced by principal authorships in peer-reviewed scientific journals is preferred.



License or certificate: BL2+ training required and can be completed upon hire.



Position Summary: A position is available with the Precision Medicine unit at the Wisconsin National Primate Research Center (WNPRC) in the laboratory of Dr. Igor Slukvin. The successful applicant will actively participate in a team studying the bone marrow transplantation and transfusion of iPSC-derived blood products in nonhuman primates, including production of CD34+CD45+ hematopoietic progenitors from iPSCs, transfusion of iPSC-derived blood products, autologous, and allogeneic bone marrow transplantation.
