To provide quality medical care to student-athletes at Emerson College. The athletic trainer will be required to asses athletic injuries, cover practices and games as assigned, design and supervise rehabilitation plans for athletic injuries, refer athletes to the appropriate medical facility when necessary and maintain accurate medical records for injuries, treatment, rehabilitation and physician referrals. This individual will need to be able to work closely with the team physician, coaches and athletics administration. This individual may also have the opportunity to provide educational opportunities and clinical supervision to athletic training students in Boston University's CAATE approved ATEP program. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining inventory of athletic training supplies, acquiring bids for supplies and other duties as assigned.
Campus Location: Boston Campus
Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE accredited program, current BOC certification, and Commonwealth of Massachusetts licensure are required. This individual also must be certified in Emergency Cardiac Care.
Master’s Degree is preferred.
Required Prior Work Experience:
3-5 years of collegiate work experience as a certified and licensed athletic trainer
