Small Animal Soft Tissue Surgery Faculty Position Assistant / Associate Professor -or- Assistant /
Position will be tenure or nontenure track and at an assistant or associate professor level, depending on successful candidate’s qualifications and professional goals.
This is a full-time, 12 month/year appointment.
This position is designed to provide teaching and clinical service for the small animal surgery section and the successful candidate will have significant interaction with oncology and internal medicine services. An individual in the tenure track will be expected to contribute to the discovery mission of the department through collaborative and independent research activities.
We are seeking a candidate with interest in practicing up-to-date medicine/surgery and a passion for teaching. In addition to surgical training and experience, research activities that are complimentary to those of department or college faculty will be considered for an individual seeking a tenure track position.
Qualifications include a DVM or equivalent degree, diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Surgeons or completion of a residency program in Small Animal Surgery. Eligibility for professional licensure as a veterinarian in the State of Missouri is a requirement.
Candidates will be assessed based upon educational and professional achievement, career goals and the needs of the college. Communication skills, experience working effectively in diverse environments and letters of reference will also be considered in selection of a successful candidate.
Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications.
