Assistant Director of Bands, Lecturer in Music

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track Lecturer in Music faculty position in the School of Music which begins August 7, 2017. Candidates should possess expertise in music education, marching band, and concert ensembles at the secondary school and/or university level. Duties will include serving as Assistant Director for the KSU Marching Band; writing and teaching drill; arranging music; conducting and coordinating the KSU Basketball Band. In addition to working collaboratively within a large and comprehensive band program guided by the Director of Bands, duties will also include conducting the University Band and assisting in recruitment and outreach activities. Other duties may include teaching courses as needed and additional responsibilities within the School of Music. An earned master's degree in music or the foreign equivalent, or its equivalent in training, ability, and/or experience is required.
