Assistant/Associate Professor - Biochemistry
The University of Mary Hardin Baylor’s College of Humanities and Sciences seeks an Assistant / Associate Professor for its Chemistry Department beginning Fall 2017. UMHB seeks faculty who are active Christians and dedicated teacher-scholars to prepare students for leadership, service, and faith-informed discernment in a global society.
The Chemistry Department offers one undergraduate degree program that includes two areas of emphases, an emphasis in chemistry and an emphasis in biochemistry.

Faculty Responsibilities: Activities required of all faculty include exemplary teaching and service to department, college, and university.
Specific Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate courses in biochemistry lecture and laboratory, introductory non-major’s chemistry, introductory major’s chemistry, and advanced courses. The teaching load is 12 - 14 hours per semester (undergraduate courses) with three course preparations.
Qualifications: Doctorate in biochemistry is required; ABD will be considered (tenure-track status requires terminal degree in hand). Excellent teaching and communication skills, a dedication to professional attainment, and commitment to quality improvement are essential. Must be an active, and committed Christian.
