The Office of the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Marketing Specialist II to join our team. The Marketing Specialist II will assist the Division of Student Affairs through the development of marketing campaigns and materials to benefit both individual departments, and the Division of Student Affairs. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:* Collection of data and subsequent design of cyclical reports to include, the Division of Student Affairs Annual Report, Strategic Plan, Newsletters, and assessment data. * Design of marketing brochures, flyers, and presentations for division and departmental events. * Non-routine duties which may include event photography. * Responsibilities as a first-line supervisor over two student employees whereby this position will hire, assign, schedule and monitor work. * The majority of work time is spent performing many of the same duties of those supervised.* Review and assess each marketing campaign's effectiveness in order to determine success and future direction. * Identify community outreach initiatives and other methods of communicating the Division of Student Affairs services and events.The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in related field and two years of experience in communications, marketing, advertising, or public relations; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:* Considerable knowledge of the methods, principles, and practices of marketing, advertising, and/or publishing.* Considerable knowledge of Associated Press style.* Ability to conceptualize and think creatively.* Ability to visually inspect copy material.* Ability to coordinate and supervise the work of others.* Proficiency in MS Office and requisite publishing and graphic design software.
